Although its present location has historic relationship to Jonas Nichols, necessary works to upgrade could cost £25,000.  If carried out its present location is not suitable. The suggested location could best be in the proposed Heritage Walk in the Central Parks. Necessary care could then be available.

A list of  Mayors of  Southampton from 1932 is commemorated on engraved panels outside the Mayors’  Parlour on the first floor south side-Civic Centre. Former Councillor Fred. Woolley-Mayor -1932 , No. 0709, heads  the list.

August Rodin’s ‘Eve ‘ had a varied location in our City, apart from the Art Gallery- a spell at the Crematorium. Metal thieves prevent in such places as the open forecourt. The Information Bureau , likewise, had  various ‘homes’ including the Above Bar Precinct.
